You love your car but your sick of swirl marks and
You’ve bought a brand new car and want to keep that showroom finish
What is detailing
Preserve the investment you have made in to that vehicle
Substrate (vehicle) primer – paint colour – Clear coat
Clear coat represents around 40% of the ‘paint’ on your car and this is what gets damage, UV
Over time UV inhibitors raise to the top of the clear coat and defuse that reflection
Swirl marks, micro scratches, scratches or ding – removed paint.
Once happened scratched get filled with contamiants. The light goes in to the scratches the light refracts and defuses the reflection further.
If you run a clean hand across the surface of your car you can feel the roughness.
Use heavier compound to cut down the clear coat and scratches
This can be single stage, 2 or 3 dependant on the level and depth of scratches as well as the age of car.
Detailing removes a fine layer of clear coat, ie removes scratches and contamination
Removed UV inhibitors
Need to restore that layer of protection
There will still be areas of deep scratches where light can refract so need to protect crevesis and put protection and shine back on your vehicle.
Glaze on first to fill in any crevesis then sealant then wax protection or Gtech?
Dirt dust debris will defuse that reflection
